Kouignaman Bread / Kouign-amann
Overall, the pastry is simple, but not in a bad way. This is my first time eating this pastry and during the writing of this article, I learned it’s actually a treat from France so by no means am I an expert on what a “good” one would taste like. I did enjoy myself with it though and I can’t help but think that has to be worth something. :)
Cutting into it was a little difficult due to the crust, but the inside was soft and offers a good contrast. The sweet, crunchy crust and soft, fluffy bread on the inside make for a simple but satisfying combination.
The glazed crust and its pleasant crunch make for a nice post-meal treat, and because the inside is light, it's not a purchase that leaves you feeling heavy or sluggish like some greasy, oily pastries might so you can keep going along with your day seeing Seongsu or you can lock in and get some work done.
8/10
Perment Creme Latte
Topped with mocha/cinnamon (verify) on a sweet almond creme, this latte has a nice espresso base with a not-too-thick layer of creme and powder on top to sweeten the deal. Once you use your spoon to mix everything together, the drink doesn't lean too sweet or too bitter.
It's an okay middle ground that most people would be fine with. This drink isn't a reason to come visit; it's fine. As someone who isn’t a coffee fanatic I don’t have too much to report on this one but this type of drink is a “specialty” at many cafes in Seoul and this one didn’t stand out.

Closing Throughts:
As a nice, spacious café close to Seoul Forest, it's a pleasant place to duck into to escape the rain or heat on days with less pleasant weather. Having plenty of seating and a variety of foods and drinks, this bakery café is recommended if you're in the mood for a bakery to eat and relax in, but Perment Bakeshop is not a must-visit.
With the breadth of items available, nearly anyone you’re traveling with will surely find something on the menu they’d be okay with, making here a nice place to visit with a +1 or family.
Also, props to whoever designed the entrance, haha. it's very aesthetically pleasing and I'm sure has led to more foot traffic and Instagram’ing than they would have gotten without it.
Overall, Very vacation-and-relaxation coded; not so much coworking or "I need filling/healthy food" adjacent. Most people here are just relaxing.
